James bond films have become a major hit throughout the years. The first James bond Movie was made in 1962. Since then over 21 James bond films have been made. There has been 6 actors, all were successful in playing the James bond roll; Sean cannery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig (current James bond).There are many different reasons why the audience go for James bond films. It is appealing to women because of the good-looking, sophisticated and intelligent men. They are mainly drawn to James bond as he has all of these features and he is British. Women might also want to watch the films to keep a look out for fashionable clothes which are represented in the female actors. Males on the other hand are attracted by many more ideas. The films are constantly full of high energy and excitement which the props help to build up such as the unusual gadgets, guns, explosions and extreme stunts. Some men might watch James Bond films because of envy built by the main character Bond himself. The fact that he owns flashy cars such as the Aston Martin and other exhilarating vehicles could cause some male or even female audiences become quite jealous in addition James bond seems to always be surrounded by beautiful women. James bond films have gorgeous women, most in which are presented either half naked or through their sexual actions which is another reason why men are enticed to Bond films. It seems that every James bond film follows the same formula. The typical James Bond storyline would be when a problem occurs, bond is usually ordered to solve it. Bond hunts down the villain, on the way of his mission he either bumps into beautiful women or women that are related to the problem. He gets involved with the women sexually, sometimes in order get information from them. Some of the ladies end up dead and luckily for one, bond falls in love with them and so she lives. In the end James bond finds out the villains evil intensions and discovers a way to halt his/her tactics. The villain dies; Bond once again saves the world from destruction. There are many different settings for James bond movies. Some of the typical settings would be usually placed in exotic fancy locations such as the Bahamas or Spain, this is normally where he chases the villains and ladies. The conventional characters that are used in James bond films are usually very attractive and influential to the audience. There is always a classically stereotypical female villain who thinks she can seduce James Bond, she is the very sexually promiscuous woman in which bond can easily get information from by using sexual advances. Sometimes they are influenced by James bond to turn from bad to good but they end up dead either way. However the good girls are the ones that Bond truly falls in love with, she is not as sexual as the female villains but is a very beautiful lady and Bond protects her till the very end. The villains are usually the ones that want to take over the world or blown up a city/place. James Bond is a stereotypical heroic character. He is a ladies man/a man on a mission. Bond completes his given task and later praised by bonds high class boss. There is a regular theme tune that is often played when James Bond makes his entrance in different places or when he is ready for action.Ã James bond posters help the audience to uncover the possible story before watching the film. This essay will be closely analysing, comparing and contrasting two well known James bond posters. Firstly I will be analysing the James bond Thunderball poster. The mis-en-scene of this poster is initially the images of James bond. We can see James Bond in a variety of different activities which connotes the film is full of action furthermore gives us the impression James bond is a strong, fit and healthy man. James bond is shown in a significant way to suggest he is the main character. In the first shot he is wearing a black suit which shows he could be high class. Bond is holding a gun and carrying a jetpack suggesting that the film will be violent. His face expression seems to looking in another direction in a quite serious look. This implies he is suspicious or ready for action. The fire also suggests a bit of violence. The brown background is quite dull however is an effective way to make James bond appear more conspicuous hence capture the audiences attention. The guns, jet suits and fire are appealing to a male audience. In the next shot we see the same man in the first shot; he is wearing a orange swim suit. This connotes he is a very sporty masculine man. Bond seems to be holding back another diver out of the way, we cannot see the divers face, but we can see him possibly aiming to get the metal object off Bonds hand, maybe this object is the key device that will blow up the world thus he could be the villain. Perhaps Bond is trying to get the device away from the villain giving the audience the impression he is the heroic character. We see a different background as opposed to the first shot. It is shot in a different place which implies the film will also be set in many countries/places. We can see water and speedboats in addition other drivers seem to be falling into the water, this whole background scene connote that it is an action packed film.

Chester Carlson essays Chester Carlson, an American physicist and lawyer, will be remembered as the man who invented the photocopier. Thanks to this great man, xerography is now used in companies all over the world. Chester Carlson was born on February 8, 1906, in Seattle, Washington. About one year after he was born, his father became very sick with tuberculosis. He also developed arthritis in his spine. Carlson's father spent most of his life lying in bed, coughing and feeling upset with his poor and sickly life. Not long after he was born, Carlson's family moved from Seattle and stayed a short time at a few places in California, Arizona, Mexico, and finally stayed in San Bernadino, California. It was there that Carlson went to grammar school and high school. Then he went to Riverside Junior College for three years, working and studying at the same time. Then he transferred schools to Advanced Standing at California Institute of Technology and got his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics in 1930. While going to school and working, Carlson became interested in the work of other inventors, especially Edison. As he read about the other successful inventors, he realized that making an invention would be a good way to change his financial situation at home. After Carlson graduated, he started working as a Research Engineer at the Bell Telephone Laboratories in New York. He thought that was boring, so he asked to work in the patent department instead. He liked this new job because he could see a lot of new ideas that were being developed. He became an assistant to a patent attorney for two years, until the Great Depression in 1933, when he was laid off from work. After some time, Carlson found a new job in a patent attorney's office near Wall Street. He worked on patent applications. He served his apprenticeship, then his clerkship there. If permitted, through the process, in support of the facts and findings, the hearing officer may give recommendations with regard to the penalties or punishments deemed appropriate for the charges against him. There was not clear evidence with regards to when the provisions on teacher's tenure had become a federal property right such that it remains to be a concern of the state for which every policies vary. The basic thrust of the Teacher Tenure Act1 is that public school employees under its protection2 may be dismissed or demoted only for one or more of fifteen grounds set out in the act and only according to the procedures set out in the act. Most often, teachers misinterpret this provision in the Education Law thus, it should be made clear that teacher tenure is merely a protection against unlawful dismissals even if he or she is guilty of the charges filed against him/her. Cinema as Intertext in Midnightââ¬â¢s Children Saleem in Midnightââ¬â¢s Children makes an accurate evaluation of India when he states, ââ¬Å"Nobody from Bombay should be without a basic film vocabularyâ⬠(Rushdie 33). Bollywood, the capital of the film industry in India, is the largest manufacturer of motion pictures in the world. A large percentage of the films are either mythical romances or musicals and often they last longer than three hours in length. While watching Indian cinema would be a painful ordeal for Western audiences, Indians embrace the industry and are very proud of their cinema heritage. Indians would argue that it is the distinct differences in Bollywood filmmaking that sets India apart from the Western world. It is the desire to separate themselves from Western culture that makes the Bollywood film industry so successful and accounts for Indiaââ¬â¢s obsession with film. However, while film is a major part of Indian society, cinema does have its origins in the Western world. Salman Ru shdie uses intertextuality to portray how Indian society changes the Western influence of cinema to express Eastern culture and how cinema depicts the narrator Saleem as unreliable. Intertextuality is the process of deriving meaning from the ways in which texts stand in relation to each other. This is the theory that all authors imitate styles, themes, and ideas from previous writers and, therefore, no text is entirely original. Thais Morgan asserts in his article ââ¬Å"The Space of Intertextualityâ⬠that there are two different levels of intertextuality: ââ¬Å"influenceâ⬠and ââ¬Å"inspirationâ⬠. Morgan says, ââ¬Å"Text A influences text B when the critic can demonstrate that B has ââ¬Ëborrowedââ¬â¢ structure(s), theme(s), and/or image(s) from A ... ...ollywood films help strengthen motivations of characters and demonstrate the unreliable narration of Saleem. Lastly, the usage of cinematic language sets a tone of both romance and disbelief in the words of Saleem as he struggles with remembering a traumatic event from the past. In all three examples of cinema as intertext, Rushdie transgresses conventional uses of cinema and crafts new and unique ways for it to appear in the text. This establishes Midnightââ¬â¢s Children as an original contemporary work, relinquishing it from any claims of prior influence from previous texts. How great is it that you were able to directly relate to Tammy in moving into a position of leadership within an organization where you had previously been working? I completely agree with you in that Tammy will need to foster relationships that promote productivity. I wonder if Tammy will be tempted to lean towards a more 1,9 managerial style where she focuses more on relationships than on production. ââ¬Å"His aim as a manger, however, is to avoid pressuring for production at a rate higher than that which would win acceptance from organizational membersâ⬠(Blake-Mouton, 191). I imagine that it would be difficult to focus as much on production as on relationships when you already have established friendships with the people that you are trying to lead. It sounds as though you were able to accomplish more of a 9,9 managerial style, which is quite a feat! In order to focus more on production, she will need to adopt a leadership style that is high in initiating structure. Her colleagues already view her as a peer and trust hrialer. 2. She will not have to go through an initial stage of having the team become familiar with her and vice versa to be able to establish a trusting relationship. 3. Additionally I have found that peer leadership doesnââ¬â¢t always constitute for positive outcomes. Tammy may experience some push back from staff that persist to remain in mediocrity and complacent. Some staff may think that Tammy has gotten ââ¬Å"big headedâ⬠due to her newly assigned leadership role. When I took on my new managerial position unfortunately, some staff had to be released. It was painstaking but necessary. In the case of Tammy, she agreed to take on the position if she had the authority to fully manager staff. I would venture to say Tammy was being proactive and may have foreseen this inevitable fate for some of her former peers.
